This programme is an exciting, different, canoe trip aimed at people who are looking for something out of the ordinary. We strap our kevlar canoes to the pontoon of a "float" plane, taxi across the lake, and take off for adventure! After a 30 minute flight over the majestic old growth forests and fresh water lakes that comprise Temagami, we land on a secluded interior lake. We then find a campsite and start to explore. Over the course of the next few days we will paddle down twisting rivers, across vast lakes, and hike through some of Ontario's last remaining old growth forests. One of the best things we like about this area is the solitude. In early summer it is possible to go in for a week and only see a handful of other people! We quite often will have an entire lake to ourselves!

Due to the size of the lakes and the distances we need to cover (about 20-25km each day) this trip requires some previous experience. If you have "advanced novice" skills then you should be able to deal with the conditions (it is common to get waves crashing over the bow from time to time!). We start paddling in the early morning so that by lunch we can stop for the day (yes, this means doing 25 km before lunch!). It's an early morning but this way we can avoid the worst of the winds and waves, and we can relax in the afternoon!
This trip is only available, on request, to groups of 4 or more.
