Summer is the most popular season for ecotourism activities in Ontario.
And with good reason. Warm, sunny days, abundant Nature, cool fresh water
lakes, and clear star filled nights contribute to an unequalled setting for a
wilderness canoe trip & camping experience. Add to this our huge amount of
wildlife, and you end up with the ultimate destination for a wilderness canoe
trip! A guided canoe trip in Algonquin Park, or canoeing and hiking in
Killarney Park, is the best way to enjoy the beauty that an Ontario summer has
to offer.
In most parts of the world there are
very few truly "wild" areas remaining. In Europe, Japan, and even considerable
portions of the U.S., large undomesticated creatures such as wolves, moose or
bears, are NEVER seen as they have long since been pushed aside by
"civilization". In Canada, and specifically in Ontario, we are fortunate to
have vast tracts of land that are untamed. We are doubly fortunate that these
areas can be reached in only a few hours from Toronto. Algonquin Park is only 3
hours north of Toronto, while Killarney Park is only 4 hours north. Both
Algonquin and Killarney are ideal locations for a wilderness canoe trip.
We have a variety of canoe and hiking trips to several of these world
famous wilderness canoeing parks. You can watch a Video of a typical canoe trip to get a better idea
of what it's all about.

Only 3 hours north of Toronto, Algonquin Park is Ontario's oldest
Provincial Park, and one of the largest in Canada. It is even larger than
several European countries! Algonquin boasts over 7600 square kilometres, with
over 2000 fresh water lakes. Within the borders of Algonquin Park can be found
deer, moose, beaver, wolves, bears, and many other wild animals, all in their
natural habitats and, for the most part, untouched by Man.
Algonquin
Park is so big, and so varied, that one end of Algonquin can have entirely
different weather from the other end! In fact, it can be compared to several
countries in size! It is 1.5 times larger than Prince Edward Island, 1/4 the
size of Belgium, 3 times larger than Luxembourg, and 7 times larger than Hong
Kong! We have Algonquin Park canoe trips going to several different locations -
it takes more than one canoe trip to truly "see" Algonquin Park!

Called the "Crown Jewel" of Ontario Parks, Killarney's crystal clear waters are a truly marvellous canoeing experience. And its majestic, millennia old, mountains provide incredible "Ridge Walking" hiking trails. These 4 Day Canoe Trips are a real highlight of our summer! They involve 3 days of wilderness canoeing and 1 day of hiking, all in the most scenic canoeing region of Ontario!
We are pleased to offer these 4 day canoe trips timed to coincide with the Canadian long weekends. They are the same high quality wilderness canoe trips that we usually run, but these canoe trips are open to, obviously, women only.
